Error codes and error messages are really common for Canon Printer users. Any error code will hamper the performance of your canon machine. There are hundreds of error codes associated with this machine and to deal with them is not everyone’s cup of tea. In this section, we are going to discuss about error code 5200, although if you are encountering any other error them please contact a printer executive at Canon Printer Support Number UK.

So, let me first tell you what this error code 5200 is actually. The error is basically associated with the ink level and its usage. It happens when your printer run out of black ink, and all other ink cartridges are also going to be empty but in order to print your command all other ink colors combine together to make black print. But when you reinstall the black ink cartridge the problem with the printer or the ink level reader causes this error. You can try to fix this error with some simple solution.

  • Turn of the printer and wait for few seconds and then turn it back on. This will reset the ink level reader so that it can read the ink correctly.
  • If the above solution didn’t work then remove the power cord of your printer and unplug it completely. This also works in the same ways as the previous step did. But if in case the first one failed this might work.
  • In case this too failed, if the printer is directly plugged into the wall outlet then first turn off the printer and press the stop button and hold it for few seconds. Then press the on button, hold it and release the stop button. After that press the stop button at least for 5 times and then release it along with On button. This will reset the printer. Once more turn your printer off and turn it back on.
  • In case none of the above solution is working to resolve this problem, then you might have to replace all your ink cartridges. When you put in all new ink cartridges, it reset the ink level gauges, which might resolve the error.
